Textile Nonwoven Fabric FAQs
- What is fusible interlining nonwoven fabric?
Fusible interlining has a thermoplastic adhesive coating. It bonds to garment fabric when heat-pressed, giving collars and cuffs shape retention. We supply 20-80 GSM with dot or powder adhesive for apparel manufacturers.
- What GSM is used for sofa dust cover?
Sofa dust cover or bottom cloth uses 40-70 GSM black or white spunbond. Key requirement is dimensional stability and low linting so fibers don't shed inside furniture. Also called cambric in bedding.
- Do you supply UV stabilised fabric for agriculture?
Yes. Our crop cover and mulching fabric is UV stabiliser treated for 6-24 months outdoor life. Range: 17-50 GSM in white or black. Improves crop yield by regulating soil temperature and moisture.
- What is AOS and permittivity in geotextiles?
AOS is Apparent Opening Size — controls soil particle retention. Permittivity measures water flow rate through the fabric. We test both for road, drainage & erosion control grades: 80-200 GSM.

1. Geotextile Nonwoven: Engineering for Civil Projects
Our 80-200 GSM spunbond geotextiles provide separation, filtration, drainage, and reinforcement functions in road construction, railways, and landfill sites. Key specifications: Grab Tensile Strength 400-900N per ASTM D4632, Puncture Resistance CBR 1500-3500N per ASTM D6241, and Apparent Opening Size AOS 0.15-0.30mm per ASTM D4751. High permittivity >0.2 sec⁻¹ ensures rapid water flow while retaining soil particles. UV-stabilized grades last 3+ years exposed. We supply test data for every lot: permittivity, AOS, trapezoidal tear, and UV resistance per ASTM D4355. Standard rolls: 3.2m x 100m or 200m, slit to project widths. Black and grey colors available to reduce photocatalytic degradation.
2. Nonwoven Interlining: Performance in Garment Manufacturing
Fusible and non-fusible interlinings require dimensional stability during cutting, sewing, and heat-pressing at 150-170°C. Our 20-80 GSM spunbond interlinings use low-melt adhesive dots or powder coating for fusible grades. Key parameters: Shrinkage <1% at 150°C, peel strength >6N/5cm per ISO 9073-4, and hand feel optimized for collars, cuffs, and waistbands. Non-fusible sew-in grades provide bulk without adhesive. All interlinings are lint-free to prevent contamination in cutting rooms. We match stiffness to your requirement — soft drape for shirts, firm body for jackets. OEKO-TEX Class I certification ensures no skin irritation for shirt collars and cuffs.
3. Agricultural Nonwoven: Crop Protection & Yield Improvement
Crop cover fabric must balance light transmission, air permeability, and UV life. Our 17-50 GSM UV-stabilized spunbond provides 85-90% light transmission while blocking insects and reducing wind damage. Treated with HALS UV stabilizers for 12-24 month outdoor life per ASTM G154 QUV testing. Black mulch fabric suppresses weeds by blocking 99% light while warming soil 3-5°C for earlier harvests. Water permeability >300 L/m²/s allows rain and irrigation through. Widths up to 3.2m seamless, or heat-welded to 6m+ for large fields. We also supply white frost protection fabric that raises temperature 2-4°C on cold nights while preventing leaf burn from direct contact.
